iPhoneography:
For the "purist", iPhoneography is the Art of taking and processing photographs via iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, and/or iPod Touch). There is some debate among members of this "sub-culture" whether or not it is "legal" to process images taken on an iPhone by using non-iOS devices (such as computers). It is not my intent to address this argument at this time. For now, and until further notice, all images on this site originate from an iPhone, and are processed and/or manipulated via either an iPhone, or iPad.
If you are an end-user (purchaser) of ART, the question of "how" these images are created should be irrelevant. If you wish to learn how to use this fantastic new technology to create, then the how, whys and wherefores have more relevance. In either case, I invite you to enjoy the images presented here, and if you are interested in either purchasing a print, or learning how to use these tools (or both), please contact me via the form below.
Photography:
The definition of a medium, particularly photography, is not autonomous or self-governing, but heteronymous, dependent on other media. It derives less from what it is technologically than what it is culturally. Photography is what we do with it. And what we do with it depends on what we do with other image technologies.”
